I am a licensed therapist. This means that I am licensed to practice psychotherapy independently. My training and education includes Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychology, one year internship in a mental health setting and four years post Masters supervised experience. I have been working since 1996 in the mental health field. My undergraduate work was done at Northwestern College and I have a B.A in Psychology and a B.A. in Biblical Studies.
Primarily I have worked with persons struggling with depression, anxiety, adjustment, and complicated grief. I have experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and serious and persistent mental illness. I have significant experience working with the GLBTQ community in coming out related issues. I have worked in a day treatment center, community mental health, hospital emergency room, EAP program, facilitated clinical reviews for insurance utilization, as well as a nationwide coaching program.
